Create a promotion

You can set up limited-time promotions (also called discounts) for your fonts. These promotions will appear on MyFonts and help increase visibility. There is no cost to set up a promotion. 
Promotions for new fonts can only be created once installations are approved by a Foundry Support team member.

Promotion Rules

• Promotions can run for a maximum of 45 days.
• After a promotion ends, you must wait 45 days before changing prices or creating another promotion.
• You can create up to 50 promotions per year, so we recommend coordinating promotions with your broader marketing efforts.
• Discounts can be a maximum of 30 percent.
• You can schedule promotions up to two years in advance, within the yearly limit of 50 promotions.

Types of Promotions

You can create several types of discounts:

• Single style discount
• One or more sub-family packs
• Complete family pack only
• One or more font families (all singles and packs)
• Secret codes

Set Up a Promotion

1. Log in to Foundry Platform.
2. Click on Promotions in the menu.
3. Click the blue Create Promotion button.
4. Add a promotion name. This will be visible to customers, so include the discount percent.
5. If you manage multiple foundries, select the foundry to apply for the promotion too.
6. Enter the discount percent. We recommend choosing 30 percent or lower.
7. Optionally, add a secret code.
   • Customers can enter this code at checkout to receive the discount.
   • Secret code promotions do not appear on the Special Offers page, and the discount will not be shown on the family page.
   • Codes are case sensitive and can include letters and numbers only.

8. Choose a start date and end date. Promotions cannot exceed 45 days.
9. Select Fonts:
   • All fonts in my library will put every font in your selected foundry on sale.
   • Specific Fonts allow you to select families individually.
10. If using Specific Fonts, search or choose View All to select families.
11. After selecting families, choose which products to discount. You can check all boxes or choose specific items.
12. Review your promotion and click Submit. 
    Your promotion is approved automatically and appears on MyFonts immediately or on the scheduled date.
