Our marketing team develops special marketing events to excite customers about fonts and drive sales across our platforms. We typically run around 10 curated campaigns each year. These events often include customized email campaigns, commissioned artwork, merchandise giveaways, and dedicated landing pages.
Examples of past events include Fontacular, Fonts In Action, 12 Days of Type, and Best New Fonts.
How Fonts Are Selected
Fonts are carefully curated for inclusion in these special events. All fonts are eligible as long as they meet the following criteria:
- Professional (see our type design information)
- Priced well (not too high and not too low! see our pricing guide)
- Have great marketing images (see our image best practices)
- Have a maximum discount of 30% (see our discount criteria)
For some campaigns, we reach out to all foundries to request submissions. Other campaigns are invite-only. If your fonts are selected, you may receive an email from our marketing team with an invitation to participate, along with a recommended discount for the event period.
When you agree to participate, the marketing team will set up the discounts for you. Please do not create overlapping discounts for the same time period.
Fair Exposure Across Foundries
Our marketing team makes a strong effort to feature a broad and diverse range of fonts and foundries. This helps customers discover new and lesser-known brands while ensuring fair exposure across our partner network.
- We typically include no more than four families from a single foundry in any one sales event
- Once a font family is included in a sales event, it is usually not featured again for at least 12 months
The main exceptions are foundry-wide discounts and the Best New Fonts event. Best New Fonts is not curated and is based purely on sales revenue for the year.
