Font selection for marketing email newsletters is driven primarily by customer interest and performance data. The marketing team looks for families that are resonating with customers and performing well across Monotype platforms.
Key factors considered include:
- Strong sales performance, such as appearing in Hot New Fonts or Bestsellers
- Promotions that are already performing well
- Family packs that offer clear value and attractive pricing
- Conversion rate and page visits
- Image quality, especially images that show the font in use
- Alignment with current graphic design and typography trends
Email campaigns are most effective when they appeal to a broad audience. For example, customers are more likely to make an impulse purchase for a font priced under $50 than for one priced over $150. Pricing and overall value play an important role in selection.
If your fonts are performing well, have high-quality imagery, include at least one image showing the font in use, and are priced competitively, there is a good chance they may be considered for inclusion.
