No one likes the feeling of not getting paid! If you're wondering where your money from MyFonts is, don't worry! We'll outline the most common reasons below. If you still have questions, we're always here to help. Just email email@example.com.
Your revenues don't meet the monthly minimum payment amount.
For each payment method, there is a different minimum payment amount. (Read more about those here.) You can also increase the minimum payment amount to your liking in order to be paid less frequently if you are looking to avoid transfer fees.
This means that if your revenues don't meet this minimum, they will be held until the next month's payment. Once the sum of your revenues exceeds the minimum payment amount for your selected payment method, then they will be transferred to you at the next round of payments that go out.
Your revenue isn't scheduled to be sent yet.
Payments are made 30-45 days after the last day of the month where the revenues occur. This means that, for example, royalties for September would be sent to you between the end of October to November 15. If you have many months of revenues accumulating because you don't meet the minimum, and your revenues for September make it so that you exceed the minimum, you are going to be paid the total amount at the time the payment would go out for September revenue - between the end of October to November 15. Check out the payment calendar here.
Bank schedules, holidays, or internal company accounting.
We typically send payments every 30 days, so foundries on MyFonts are used to this. Occasionally, due to bank schedules, internal company accounting, or holidays, we have to wait to send payments up to 45 days after the month, in accordance with your contract. The payment term in most contracts used on MyFonts is 45 days. You can read it here!
We've sent the payment, but your bank is still processing it.
Depending on your bank, payment method, and country of residence, payments sent from MyFonts can take 24 - 48 business hours to appear in your account. Be patient and check back in!
You haven't set up a payment method in your MyFonts payment administration account yet.
You may have accidentally set payments to go to your MyFonts Customer Account.
There is the option to transfer revenues from font sales directly to your MyFonts customer account where you can use that money to buy more fonts. If you select this method, your money will not go into a bank account, but instead will go to your MyFonts customer account. Double check your account settings in the Payment Administration tool!
